African nation Cote d'Ivoire have chosen Francois Zahoui to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson as coach of the national team.
Zahoui's first match in charge will see the Elephants take on Cesare Prandelli's new-look Italy in an international friendly to be played in London this week.
Eriksson was unable to lead the side out of the group stages of the World Cup in June, finishing in third place behing Brazil and Portugal.
The Swede did not stay on beyond the World Cup also due to his financial demands not being met. Gerald Gili and Jose Peckerman were two candidates also being considered by the nation's Football Feferation [FIF].
Striker Didier Drogba is expected to not play in the friendly due to having groin surgery recently.
