Ghana international Anthony Obodai joined Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo after almost nine years in the Netherlands.
The 27-year-old midfielder has featured in two exhibition matches for his new side as he awaits the arrival of his international transfer certificate.
“He knows the position,” Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear told the club's official website. “He is good on the ball, he doesn’t get rattled under pressure, and he knows his way around the field.”
Obodai arrives from RKC Waalwijk in Holland where he has played since 2007. He had previous stints with Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam. He last played for the Ghana senior side in 2005.
