Tanzanian Azam Sign Mrisho Ngassa For $40,000

The Yanga and Tanzanian international has in the recent past attracted immense interest from top clubs in the region.
Young Africans (Yanga) star striker Mrisho Ngassa has finally joined Azam FC in a $40,000 record transfer deal.

Reliable sources within the club told the Citizen that, Azam FC have already paid the amount for the club to allow the Vodacom Premier League's best player to feature for Azam FC in the next premiership season.

"The team's officials met on Wednesday night and Young Africans requested Azam FC to transfer money to the team's account before releasing the player, the exercise which was executed today (yesterday) and the team officials exchanged the transfer documents," said the source.

Ngassa, who had a four- year contract with Young Africans, was earlier reported to have negotiated a transfer deal with the Rwandan club, APR; but the deal did not materialise.
