Nigeria's Super Eagles beat the Leopards of DR Congo 5-2 in an international friendly on Wednesday evening in Abuja, Nigeria's capital.
The Eagles triumphed courtesy of a brace from Enyimba's Osas Idehen and one each from the trio of Peter Utaka, Obinna Nsofor and Chinedum Ezimora. The Congolese goals were scored by TP Mazembe's Mbenza Bedi.
The Nigerians, a mostly local team with four Europe-based, played the game watched by new coach Lars Lagerback in the stands.
The match was played against Congo as a result of the planned game against Paraguay being cancelled at the last minute.
Nigeria are preparing for the summer's World Cup where they have been drawn into Group B to play against Argentina, South Korea and Greece.
