Liberty Professionals - the local club - of Ghana Under-20 World Cup coach Sella Tetteh placed third in the 24th edition of the WAFU Cup.
The Ghanaian side won the third place play-off 3-1 against Togolese side Gomido Kpalime over the weekend as Guinea's Horoya Club emerged winners after beating ASC HLM of Senegal 2-1 in the final played in Togo, reports Ghanafa.org.
“Our next focus is the league and we look forward to it. It’s going to be tough but we are prepared for it,” Tetteh told Goal.com.
Tetteh’s side missed a place in the final as they lost on penalties to ASC HLM in the semis after drawing 1-1 in regulation time.
