Hearts Of Oak Set To Hire Egyptian Coach Ayman El Yamani

An Egyptian is close to taking over the Ghanaian league kings after some less than inspiring outings...

Ghanaian league champions Accra Hearts of Oak are close to appointing Egyptian coach Ayman El Yamani to their bench for the forthcoming season.

The former Zamalek player will replace Serbian trainer Kosta Papic, whose contract with Hearts was terminated with eight matches of last season to be played, according to ghanasoccernet.com.

El Yamani handled Swaziland in 2006 and has been in Ghana for close to two weeks.

Hearts were unconvincing in the led-up to winning last season's Premier League crown, and managed only two wins in six matches in a recent pre-season tournament.

The club are expected to announce El Yamani as new coach this week.
