Morocco’s U-17 team lost the final of the Union of North African Football (UNAF) tournament in Tunisia yesterday by the score of 3-2 to Burkina Faso, who had been invited to round out the field of participating nations after Egypt pulled out.
Mustapha Haddaoui’s side were unable to overcome the West
Africans, even though they showed great courage by twice levelling the score in
the encounter through Soufiane Talal in the 46th
minute and Mohamed Boukhmis in 54th. However,
their hopes were dashed in the 88th minute when they conceded once
more and could not muster another comeback.
Nevertheless, the results they obtained remain positive considering
