Rwanda’s APR Coach Earns A Contract Extension

The tactician replaced his countryman in April and led the club to grab the league title by virtue of goal-difference on the final day.
After leading APR to their tenth league title, Dutch coach Erik Paske has been rewarded by the club with a one-year contract extension until October 2010.

Paske took over as head coach from his compatriot Rene Feller, who retired from the game in April after the expiry of his contract. The former assistant to Feller made an immediate impact on the club by denying rivals Atraco an historic treble when his team won the league title on the final day of the campaign.

While confirming the deal, APR secretary general Adolphe Kalisa praised the Dutchman's impact in keeping the players focused on the challenge to the last day.

"He has been very instrumental in our winning this year's league title, so we decided to extend his contract by one year. We agreed a one-year rolling contract with him," Kalisa told New Times Sport.
