Earlier this week, Bassem Ben Nasr signed a one-year contract with Club Athletique Bizertin after losing his place in the roster at his former club, Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
According to infosfoot.net, the player had travelled to Germany this summer to train with both Energie Cottbus and an unnamed club, but did not do enough to secure a move abroad.
Rather than wait on offers from overseas, the 26-year-old opted for a move within Tunisia, expressing his satisfaction with the transfer when he spoke to Mosaique FM on Tuesday.
“I chose CAB because I think it will be successful choice,” he explained. “I want to show a lot of people that are attacking me through the press what I can do. This year is a challenge for me and it’s the year I will return to my usual level that everyone got used to expecting from me.
“Bizerte has a great group of young and clean footballers that you can be comfortable in. The city is very calm and the team officials are all understanding.”
