Mikel Aims To Stay And Win Champions League With Chelsea

The Chelsea midfielder has poured cold water on speculation that he will quit the London club, insisting his dream is to win the Champions League with The Blues...

Mikel John Obi has dismissed speculation that he is on his way out of Chelsea.

The Nigeria international has been linked with several clubs including Internazionale, now managed by Jose Mourinho, the man who signed him for Chelsea from Norwegian club Lyn Oslo.

"I have a contract with Chelsea. I love the club and will play for them. I'm loved and respected and above all, I'm happy there," Mikel told Nigerian football newspaper Soccer Star.

"I want to make history with Chelsea by winning the Champions League with them."

Chelsea are yet to win Europe's foremost club competition. Two seasons ago, they lost in their first-ever Champions League final to Manchester United and last season, they were controversially dumped from the competition in the semi-finals by eventual winners Barcelona.
