Tunisian Bilel Ifa Scouted By Lens

The Club Africain right back was observed by one of the French Ligue 1 sides emissaries during his team’s 3-2 win over Stade Tunisien on Thursday.
Bilel Ifa is being tracked by Racing Club de Lens, according to Tunisian television station Hannibal TV. The news was revealed during a report on Club Africain’s hard fought 3-2 win over Stade Tunisien in which Ifa assisted on one of the goals.

The right back is only 19 years old but is already one of the Biancorosso’s most talented players and consistent contributors. He played an important role in helping the team win the Tunisian league title last year and has continued to improve during the current campaign despite often having to play out of position on the left side of defence.

His maturity, sense of positioning, and accurate crosses prompted national team coach Humberto Coelho to make him a part of the Carthage Eagles World Cup qualifying squad. The former U17 international player impressed during his first outing with the team on November 19 versus Ghana in Accra.

When questioned about the interest from foreign clubs after his latest outing with his current club, Ifa said that he was not overly concerned about the issue given that his focus is on helping Club Africain repeat as champions. The Tunis based side is one point away from league leading Esperance Sportive de Tunis with one game left to play.
