Nigerian Teenager Adebayo Adigun Heading To Japan

Former Nigeria junior international, Adebayo Adigun, has signed a three-year contract with Japanese first division side Kashiwa Reysol.

Adebayo Adigun, the son of former international Bunmi Adigun, has completed a move to Japan to play for Kashiwa Reysol.

Tomohiro Inagawa, who brokered the deal, is full of hope that the young defender will live up to expectations.

"He is a lad with tremendous talent, I believe I have in him a future star both for his club and country. To succeed as a footballer in Japan, you have to be humble and respect constituted authorities and these are qualities I have seen in Bayo," said Inagawa

The teenager described the deal as a breakthrough having been hampered by injuries lately.

"It is a big relief for me as well as a pleasant experience to have a taste of the growing league in Japan. I have heard and seen a lot on television about the J-League and I am going to try and be a standard bearer for Nigerian youths in the Far East."

"I am ambitious and I can see myself in the big League of Europe but I admire my starting point with Japan,'' added the libero.
