Brisbane Roar has agreed on compassionate grounds to release goalkeeper Liam Reddy from the final year of his contract due to personal reasons.
Brisbane has agreed to Reddy’s request to end his contract with the club at the end of the season.
Roar coach Ange Postecoglou said Reddy would continue to work with the first team squad and was committed until the end of the season.
“We understand players need to be happy,” Postecoglou said. “I fully expect Liam to continue to contribute to the squad in the professional manner in whiocused on finishing the season strongly.”ch he has conducted himself at the club thus far.

Next season was the final year of a three-year contract for Reddy and he becomes the second high-profile player from the Roar to depart within the space of a few days.
Only recently veteran midfielder Charlie Miller quit the club.
The reason for Reddy's departure appears to be that he was replaced by youngster Griffin McMaster in goals this season, previously having been Brisbane's first-choice shot-stopper.
