Following the earlier announcement that Hungarian midfielder Szabolcs Huszti had joined Zenit St. Petersburg, the Niedersachsen club have revealed the capture of 32-year-old Jacek Krzynowek.
The Polish international had fallen out of favour at the Volkswagen Arena under Felix Magath and has been limited to just four appearances as a substitute this season so far.
According to the club’s website he has signed an 18 month contract with Dieter Hecking’s side.
"Jacek knows the Bundesliga well, he is experienced and has often caused problems with goals," said Hecking.
"He fits well in our team."
He has had previous Bundesliga stints at Nuernberg and Bayer Leverkusen and has amassed 153 Bundesliga appearances scoring 22 goals in the process. He has 87 caps for his country.
