The promsing 19-year-old striker was shipped out to Koblenz to get some much needed match practice, and it has recently emerged that he spurred the chance to sing for Italian club Parma.
When asked why he opted to play in the German second division, Fischer told bundesliga.de: "I was really convinced of the system and of the coach, who really wanted to sign me. That was impressive and I wanted to take that chance by all means. I didn't deal with the Parma offer because I was fully committed to VfB at the time.
Speaking of his targets while at TuS, he said: "The most important thing is to beat the drop. I have never been relegated in my life, and to be honest I don't want to," he concluded with a wry smile.
