Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao has earned the praise of his peers following his hat-trick in the 4-1 demolition of Chelsea in the European Super Cup.
The Colombian fired in three first-half goals at Stade Louis II in Monaco on Friday to effectively end the tie at the interval, and has now received plaudits from Mario Suarez and Gabi, both of whom believe the attacker reinforced his status as a world-class marksman.
"It's a luxury," admitted midfielder Mario Suarez. "He is the best striker in the world and it's a pleasure to have him."
Meanwhile, Gabi remarked: "We knew we had a great group with a great player who makes the difference and today, he did it again."
"[After that performance,] Atletico Madrid must be among the best [in the world]."
