Egyptian defender Abdelaziz Tawfik could be all set for a European adventure as Belgian league leaders Anderlecht have shown an interest in the full-back, according to reports from Belgium.
Anderlecht are in the market for a new defender due to the expected permanent departure of Arnold Kruiswijk at the end of the season and head coach Ariel Jacobs supposedly sees Tawfik as the ideal replacement.
The 23-year-old defender has been in impressive form at his current club ENPPI and Tawfik's good performances apparently haven't gone unnoticed in Europe. The full-back was also part of the Egypt squad that won the African Nations Cup earlier this year.
The reports claim that Anderlecht have already made a first offer for Tawfik, but neither of the two clubs involved have so far confirmed any negotiations.
