Arsenal Midfielder Aaron Ramsey Would 'Love To Bring Home League Cup Trophy'

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is ready to forget being a Wembley losing finalist and set the record straight by winning the League Cup this season.

Wednesday’s first leg of the semi-final against Ipswich will be Ramsey’s first game for Arsenal since suffering a double leg break in February last year.

The Welshman, who has had a loan spell at Nottingham Forest to regain sharpness, is adamant that he won’t waste this opportunity to collect silverware at Wembley.

"I would love to do it this season and bring home the trophy," he told the Daily Star.

"When you play for Arsenal, you want to win everything you can. I've still got my losers' medal from the FA Cup final - but it's kept in a draw at my house.

"To get to another final would be brilliant. It would be good to do that and win some silverware for the first time in a while.

Ramsey added: "I played against Ipswich a few weeks ago, so hopefully I will play some part in the game and get some more minutes under my belt.

"The Carling Cup has been good to me. I've never been to the final, though.”
