Lazio president Claudio Lotito felt his side deserved their 3-1 victory over Inter and thought Hernanes was magnificent after his free kick in the dying moments sealed the game for the home side.

"We have delivered a great game not just a great result. Lazio dominated throughout, and the match was deservedly won," Lotito told Sky Italia

Lotito also took the time to praise goalscorer Hernanes but thought the whole team played well against the champions.

"He [Hernanes] is a great player and a great professional, but the team played well as a group, all have been shown to believe in the result."

But when it comes to the championship Lotito called for restraint.

"We live game by game, a team that has to believe in their potential, but to live each race with the spirit of sacrifice that allowed them to reach this place in the championship," he finished.

Lazio are now level on points with Milan at the top of the table, but the Rossoneri have a game in hand.
