Gerrard, Neymar, Nasri, Ramsey or Dominguez? Vote for the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week!

Three Premier League players feature among the nominees for the final prize of the group stage alongside Barcelona’s Brazilian star and the Olympiakos midfielder
Three Premier League stars have been nominated for the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week prize, presented by Nissan, for Matchday Six - but their clubs’ fortunes were mixed as the group stage drew to a close.

Samir Nasri capped a man-of-the-match display with a brilliant 25-yard strike against Roma that earns him a nomination and Manchester City a place in the knockouts.

But Steven Gerrard’s superb free kick was not enough for Liverpool to grab the win they needed over Basel to reach the last 16, only cancelling out Fabian Frei’s decisive opener.

Arsenal were already through and although Borussia Dortmund’s draw against Anderlecht denied them top spot Group D, their evening was brightened by a 4-1 victory over Galatasaray and a moment of magic from Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman drilled an incredible left-footed shot from more than 30 yards into the top corner after a corner had been cleared to put the Gunners three up before half-time.

In Spain, Neymar put Barcelona 2-1 up in their win against Paris Saint-Germain with a wonderful curling effort after a run deep into the French side’s territory.

And the shortlist is completed by Alejandro Dominguez of Olympiakos, who controlled and struck a bouncing ball with careful precision from the edge of the box to help the Greek side past Malmo.
