Jovetic has just signed for the Viola and a lot of hype surrounds the youngster, especially following Corvino’s comments about his immense talent.
“I’m in love with this player,” commented the director of sports. “We believe he is one of the best talents around.
“He’s from the class of 1989 and if we paid him that amount (€8 million), it means that he is a player of high level.”
The former Lecce director is also convinced that the 18-year-old player is already mature enough.
“We must not give too many responsibilities to him, even though from the character level he is already very mature: it’s not a coincidence that at Partizan he was the team’s captain,” concluded Corvino.
Jovetic played 62 games for Partizan, scoring 19 goals in the process. Despite his young age, he already played for his national side and took part in the debut game of Montenegro in March 2007 against Hungary.
