Report: Atlético Madrid Offered Inter's Luis Jiménez

Luis Jiménez could be set to join Atlético de Madrid on loan for the rest of the season from Inter after failing to impress José Mourinho, according to a report.
Atlético de Madrid are weighing up an offer to sign Luis Jiménez from Inter after being offered the chance to sign the midfielder during the winter transfer window.

The Chile international is on the fringes of José Mourinho's squad and has only played around 200 minutes of football this season, which has left him wanting to move.

According to Tuttomercato, Jiménez has been offered to Atlético and a deal that could see him move on loan for six months with a view to a permanent summer transfer could be in the offing.

Known as ‘the Magician’ in Chile, the 24-year-old has been unable to find a place in Mourinho's side this term and is now hoping to find a club that can offer him regular first-team football.

Atlético have been pondering whether to add to their squad in January and the chance of a loan could be too good to turn down as Javier Aguirre looks to reignite his team's season.

Jiménez moved to Inter in 2007 from Lazio after spending a year with Fiorentina having made an impression in Italian football during his time with Ternana.
