Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa has omitted striker Humberto Suazo from his squad to face Ukraine in an international friendly in Kiev on September 7.
The 26-year-old was part of the South Americans' squad at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa and had scored 10 goals in the qualifiers. However, he finds no place in the squad that will travel to Europe next month.
Palermo striker Mauricio Pinilla will take Suazo's place in the team. Pinilla joined the Sicilians this summer after scoring 24 goals in Serie B for Grosseto last season.
Pinilla is one of eleven foreign-based players called up to the squad. The rest of the players will be based in Chile and Bielsa will name them after the last day of action in the national championship prior to the fixture against Ukraine.
