Inter have excelled in Europe but have struggled miserably in Serie A so far this season.

The San Siro outfit have already qualified for the knockout round as Group B winners in Europe's most prestigious club competition, however, they languish in 16th spot in the Italian top flight following the 1-0 loss to Udinese on Saturday.

Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo believes that the club can finish in third spot in Serie A, and make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

"In Europe, we are performing very well and the target is to reach the semi-finals; at least the semi-finals," he told Goal.com.

"Thinking to the domestic championship, I believe because we are improving a lot, and it is a long season, we can reach at least the third position.

"But I still believe at the end we will be fighting for the league title," he concluded.
