German powerhouse Bayern Munich take on Italian titans Inter on Wednesday in the first knockout round of the Champions League and the Bavarians will be gunning for revenge after losing last year's Champions League final against the Nerazzurri.
Goal.com Germany spoke with influential midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger ahead of the round of 16 tie and the Germany international was full of confidence that Bayern have what it takes to get past the Italians.
"The two games coming up against Inter will be a very challenging mission and we are thrilled about it. I'm looking forward to seeing my friend Lucio again," said Schweinsteiger.
"In theory, the chance that we will make it into the quarter-finals are 50-50. However, we will have to work extremely hard if we are to be successful.
"I'm confident that we have what it takes to progress to the next round though. We are all itching to set the record straight against Inter.
"We've been thinking about last year's lost final long and hard. It really hurt that we lost that game. This is the perfect opportunity for us to make up for last year's defeat."
