The 36-year-old notched two second-half strikes as his side came back from 2-0 to draw 2-2 on Friday.
And, while the World Cup winner was disappointed not to complete the turnaround, he admits his personal scoring feat was "no small matter."
"Today came something very important in my career," he told Futbol Para Todos. "It's an important tally in the career of a footballer. 300 goals is no small matter. It's a shame we didn't win, but I'm happy."
Trezeguet scored the majority of his club goals for Monaco and Juventus, where he won two Ligue 1 and two Serie A titles respectively.
The forward, who has 71 senior caps for France to his name, lifted the World Cup in 1998 before hitting the winning goal in the 2-1 win over Italy at the final of Euro 2000.
Trezeguet has also been tentatively linked with Barcelona in recent weeks as Gerardo Martino looks to add a striker to the ranks at Camp Nou.
