Alejandro 'Chori' Dominguez has sealed a season-long loan move from Valencia to River Plate, according to Argentinian publication Ole.
Reports indicate that River sent representatives to Spain to thrash out a deal and the negotiations came to fruition as the striker agreed to play for the Buenos Aires club next season.
With the transfer agreed in principle, all that remains to be finalised is the finer details of the contract with the 30-year-old, and he will be plying his trade from the Monumental stadium once again, after spending three seasons there earlier in his career.
Despite River Plate's relegation to the second tier of Argentinian football, the club remains an attractive proposition to players and it is thought the forward is willing to take a pay cut in order to bring his new employers back to the top league of the nation.
Dominguez joined Valencia in 2009 after a successful spell in Russia with Rubin Kazan but has failed to impress at the Primera Division side during his two seasons there.
