Franco & Bruno Zuculini to play together for the first time for Racing Club

Franco Zuculini expressed his delight on Thursday after learning that he would partner younger brother Bruno in midfield for Newell's Old Boys' visit
Racing Club's young brothers Franco and Bruno Zuculini are set to take the field together for the first time in professional football, in a reshuffled side which takes on Newell's Old Boys on Saturday evening.

The suspensions of defenders Matias Cahais and Lucas Aveldano, plus the continued absence of the injured Claudio Yacob have forced coach Miguel Angel Russo to change his La Academia line-up for the visit of the Rosario side, who currently lie bottom of the Clausura standings.

And Ole reports that the trainer's solution is to place the two brothers, 20 and 18 years old, in the middle of a 4-3-1-2 formation, with wide men Ivan Pillud and Lucas Licht moving back to full back and new Racing centurion Pablo Luguercio taking an enganche role. Playing together had long been a dream of the pair, who have both represented Argentina at youth level; and it was older brother and Hoffenheim loanee Franco who showed the delight in the family.

"A dream come true! Playing from the start with my brother in the L'Acade shirt", 'Zucu' exclaimed via his Twitter account, before dedicating the game to his parents by affirming, "this is for you, Mum and Dad!"

After a late 2-1 victory away to Arsenal last weekend, the Avellaneda club are currently eighth in the league and occupy one of the places to qualify for the Copa Sudamericana. Racing and Newell's take the field at 20:20 local time on Saturday, 00:20 BST.
