All Boys Playmaker Ariel Ortega Set To Undergo Surgery - Report

New All Boys arrival Ariel Ortega will have to wait to make his debut for the Floresta club, after it emerged that the playmaker is set to undergo an operation following a bout of Appendicitis.

Ole reports that the former River Plate and Parma star, 36, was taken to hospital on Thursday morning complaining of discomfort, and will shortly go under the knife to remove his appendix.

The procedure will keep 'El Burrito' on the sidelines for close to a month, meaning that he will likely miss the first two matches of the 2011 Clausura campaign.

Official word from the Albo has been sparse, although club president Roberto Bugallo affirmed that the injury was a shame. Ortega moved to the Primera Division newcomers at the start of January on a six month loan deal after being declared surplus to requirements by River coach Juan Jose Lopez.
