Former Estudiantes star Clemente Rodriguez has returned to Boca Juniors on a free transfer, this morning signing a contract which will keep him at the Bombonera for three seasons.
The club's official website confirmed that the versatile full back will play at the club in a third spell in the blue and gold after rejecting a last minute move to Turkey.
"Now that I have signed I have to get myself prepared to be ready as soon as the season starts," Rodriguez declared to gathered reporters this morning, on leaving the meeting where he confirmed the link with the Buenos Aires institution.
"I have returned to the club where I have always felt most comfortable."
The 29-year-old Rodriguez last played for Boca in 2007, where he helped the club lift the Copa Libertadores during a loan spell from Spartak Moscow. He also shone at left back for Estudiantes, where a string of impressive performances for the La Plata outfit led to a call up for the World Cup in South Africa.
