Ramon Diaz was officially unveiled as the new coach of San Lorenzo today and promised the fans that he would not let them down.
"I will not disappoint,” Diaz told a press conference today that confirmed his second spell with the club he guided to the Argentine Clausura championship in 2007.
"I had no hesitation in returning,” continued the former River Plate, Club America and Oxford United coach.
“I know the people, the mentality, the urge, they have gone through a difficult time and we are eager to work. This is the profession I love, I feel a tremendous passion for what I do. We will devote ourselves to forming a competitive team.”
"Thank you for choosing us,” said a delighted president Rafael Savino. “Ramon showed that this is his home. We know that success will surely come.”
San Lorenzo finished 15th in this season’s Argentine Clausura, winning just six for their 19 matches.
