Argentine Midfielder Diego Valeri Set For Porto Move

The 23-year-old will leave Lanus to continue his career at the Portuguese champions...
Lanus midfielder Diego Valeri will be transferred to FC Porto, according to the president of the Argentine club, Nicolas Russo.

Russo explained that he will reunite with the club's board in the next few days, and they will finalise the imminent transfer.

It has been reported that Valeri will arrive in Portugal on Thursday to sign for Porto.

After this, on Saturday Valeri will be presented as the latest incorporation of the side, along with Colombian striker Radamel Falcao Garcia, who joined the club from Buenos Aires rivals River Plate.

Valeri, 23, has been playing for Lanus since 2003, and is currently one of the most important members of the side.

Since then, the midfielder has played 96 matches, scoring 13 goals. He was part of the Lanus side that won the Argentine Championship for the very first time in 2007.

Apparently the Dragons have been tracking the player for some time now, and have beaten several clubs to his signature.
