Official: Cruzeiro sign former PSG defender Ceara

The Brazilian defender was released by the Ligue 1 runners-up earlier this summer, and will now return to his native country after a five-year spell in France
Cruzeiro have announced on their official website that they have secured the services of experienced defender Marcos Ceara on a free transfer. The right wing-back will sign a contract with his new club upon completion of a medical.

The 32-year-old left Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer after the Ligue 1 side agreed to terminate his contract, which was to run till 2013, with immediate effect.

Ceara joined PSG from Internacional in the summer of 2007, and had made over 100 official appearances for the Parisians. He won the Coupe de la Ligue with the club from the French capital in 2008, but fell down the pecking order following the arrival of coach Carlo Ancelotti in January this year.

The defender previously played for Santos, Portuguesa, Sao Jose, Santa Cruz, Botafogo, Coritiba and Sao Caetano.
