Departing Inter coach Leonardo arrested on drink-driving charges

The PSG-bound Brazilian was caught by local Rio de Janiero police, and has now been disqualified from driving
Inter coach Leonardo has been apprehended by Rio de Janiero police and arrested on charges of drink driving.

The 41-year-old is currently back in native Brazil after it was revealed that the former Selecao international had left his post in Italy, and although his exit from the world champions has not been finalised, it looks increasingly likely to move into a director role at big-spending Paris Saint-Germain.

Reports in Globo indicate that the former midfielder refused to take a sobriety test, and has now been disqualified from driving.

Government sources have also stated that the ex-Flamengo player will face an administrative process and has been fined €418.

The former AC Milan manager took over from Rafa Benitez at cross town rivals Inter in December, but endured an ill-fated spell in charge, relinquishing the club's Champions League and Serie A titles.
