Brazilian midfielder Renato has parted company with Sevilla and joined Botafogo on a three-year contract, it has been announced.
The 32-year-old's deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan was set to expire next June, but he has ended the agreement ahead of time so he can return to Brazil.
A statement on Sevilla's official website reads:
"The Sevilla midfielder Renato Dirnei Florencio has, on Thursday evening, rescinded his deal with the club by common agreement so he can move to Botafogo. He had been at this club since 2004 and had just one year remaining on his contract."
The Rio De Janeiro-based club also confirmed the move on their website and said Renato has signed up until 2014.
