Portuguese side Sporting CP have confirmed to the Portuguese stock exchange that experienced attacker Liedson has left the Lisbon side for Brazilian outfit Corinthians for an undisclosed fee.
Corinthians had been looking for attacking reinforcements for quite a while and were previously linked with Ronaldinho and Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano. The Timao have now found their man on deadline day of the European transfer window.
The 33-year-old Liedson joined Sporting from Corinthians in the summer of 2003 and will now go the other way again. The Portugal international of Brazilian origin also wore the jerseys of Pocoes, Prudentopolis, Coritiba and Flamengo during his long career.
Liedson scored 171 goals in just over 300 official matches in a Sporting shirt.
