Anzhi's Roberto Carlos walks away from league match after another racist attack

The World Cup winner walked off the pitch as he was racially abused by a fan during a league match
Anzhi defender Roberto Carlos was the subject of another racist attack in a match in the Russian League.

The incident, which took place during Anzhi's victory at Krylia Sovetov, is the latest racist scandal involving the Brazilian defender to hit Russia's top division.

In the 89th minute, a banana was thrown from the stands onto the pitch and Roberto Carlos immediately abandoned the game, visibly disappointed as he walked toward the bench.

The former Real Madrid player had been taunted in the same manner in March, during a league match against Zenit. Back then, he did not pay much attention to the incident, which he labelled as 'unacceptable', but he seemed to be much more affected by Wednesday's abuse.

The Russian football federation has already announced it will open an investigation to these racist abuses, which could undermine the country's ability to ban racism from football before the 2018 World Cup in the country.
