Former Barcelona midfielder Victor Munoz has been appointed the new coach of Terek Grozny. The Russian Premier League side made the announcement via their official website.
“After negotiations with Terek vice-president Bulat Chagayev, Victor Munoz was appointed the new head coach," the statement revealed.
The 53-year-old replaces Anatoly Baidachny, who parted company with the club after leading Terek to 12th place in the Russian top flight this year. Munoz has been without a coaching job since getting the sack from Spanish Primera Division team Getafe in April 2009.
Munoz was part of the Spain national team that finished runners-up in the 1984 European Championships and also featured for la Furia Roja in the 1986 World Cup.
