The Serbian international has signed a contract at Zenit St. Petersburg...
Russian powerhouse Zenit St. Petersburg have completed the transfer of versatile attacker Danko Lazovic from Eredivisie giants PSV. A report on NOS claims that Zenit have paid €5 million for the forward.

"Danko Lazovic told us about the interest of Zenit about a week ago. We've since discussed his situation several times and have eventually decided to cash in on him," said general director Jan Reker on the official PSV website.

"Head coach Fred Rutten really wanted to hold on to him, but Danko made it clear that he was eager to move to Russia. It was a difficult decision, but we think it's in everybody's interest to sell him."

Lazovic joined PSV from Vitesse in the summer of 2007. The Serbian international has made 83 Eredivisie appearances for the Eindhoven side, scoring 24 goals in the process.

He previously wore the jerseys of Partizan Belgrade, Feyenoord and Bayer Leverkusen.
