Bromley 0-6 Crystal Palace: Bamford hits debut hat-trick

The Chelsea loanee scored for a brilliant first-half treble, with Sullay Kaikai, Dwight Gayle and Wilfried Zaha also on the scoresheet in a thumping friendly win
On-loan striker Patrick Bamford hit a first-half hat-trick as Crystal Palace thumped Bromley 6-0 in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.

The flood of goals began after just two minutes when Sullay Kaikai fired home via the post, and he then turned provider for Bamford to hammer home his first goal for the club since completing his move from Chelsea.

Bamford then grabbed his second and Palace's third when he coolly finished after being sent clean through, and he completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish from a low Christian Scales cross.

Brede Hangeland's strong performance in defence ensured that Bromley were given scant opportunity to get into the game, and Dwight Gayle made it 5-0 with a low drive on the half-hour mark.

The second-half was a slower-paced affair, but Wilfried Zaha took advantage of a defensive error to round off the rout for Alan Pardew's side.
