Inter maestro Wesley Sneijder has made it clear that he will not play the full 90 minutes in Holland's international friendly against Austria in Eindhoven on Wednesday evening.
The highly-rated midfielder only just returned to full match fitness after spending the past six weeks on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury and doesn't want to take any risks.
"I don't think it would be wise to play the entire match against Austria after my hamstring problems. The match probably comes a bit too soon for me," Sneijder was quoted as saying by ANP.
"I've been sidelined for about 50 days due to the knock. I have yet to discuss my situation with the national team coach though.
"I'm very pleased to be back for the national side. I really enjoy being at Oranje and I'm eager to get some playing time on Wednesday. Nevertheless, I won't last for the full 90 minutes."
Sneijder impressed in Inter's 5-3 Serie A win over Roma at the weekend. The former Real Madrid star has dropped to 195th position in the Castrol Rankings following his recent injury woes.
