Cesare Prandelli has reminded Antonio Cassano over the verbal contract and of his wider role within the Italy setup or he risks being ousted permanently.
Cassano has been reformed at Milan following his rebel tactics at Sampdoria. And Prandelli has warned future unrest could lead to the playmaker waving goodbye to la Nazionale.
"I have not said anything in particular to him. I said what I had to when needed. He knows he has a last chance," Prandelli told the press at Coverciano.
"He needs to show correct behaviour with consistency."
Prandelli also confirmed questions at issue over Thiago Motta's eligibility have been resolved by FIFA.
The Inter midfielder was picked by Prandelli pending a decision from FIFA after speculation in Brazil suggested he was not eligible after playing for the Selecao's under-23 side in 2003.
"The ok from FIFA has arrived for his [Motta] call-up for Italy," added Prandelli.
"I find it extraordinary that players not born in this country want to play for the national team.
"I call up those who deserve it and I look beyond the multi-ethnic national team because football unites."
