Galatasaray Coach Frank Rijkaard Disappointed With Loss Against Fenerbahce

Turkish titans Galatasaray locked horns with rivals Fenerbahce last weekend and Cim Bom were eventually beaten 1-0 in the Istanbul derby, much to the dismay of head coach Frank Rijkaard.

"We have been giving away goals way too easy lately. However, I don't want to put all the blame on shot-stopper Leo Franco for the loss against Fener," said Rijkaard to Sportweek.

"That would be too easy. We win together and we lose together. We lost against Fenerbahce because we lacked quality. There was nothing wrong with our attitude on the pitch.

"We can still win the league title, but it's going to be very difficult. The game against Fenerbahce was a very important one and I'm disappointed that we lost. Losing against rivals is always a blow to the morale."

Galatasaray have dropped to fourth spot in the league table following last weekend's loss. They trail table toppers Bursaspor by five points.
