Ecuador international Renato Ibarra has joined Eredivisie club Vitesse from El Nacional.
After passing a medical in the Netherlands, the 20-year-old signed a three-year deal with John van den Brom's men, Vitesse confirmed through their own official website.
However he will be delayed from joining with his team-mates as he is due to help his nation in the upcoming U-20 World Cup which begins on July 29 and will not end until August 20.
Speaking to Ecuadorian television channel Sprint TV, he said: "Vitesse is a big club in the Netherlands, from the information I have received, and I would like to join as soon as possible."
Ibarra has been capped once for the Ecuador national team in a match against Argentina in April of this year.
