Official: Vitesse confirm signing of Renato Ibarra from El Nacional

The 20-year-old midfielder joins the Dutch club on a deal which runs until 2014 after rising through the ranks of the youth academy with the Ecuadorian club to the first team
Ecuador international Renato Ibarra has joined Eredivisie club Vitesse from El Nacional.

After passing a medical in the Netherlands, the 20-year-old signed a three-year deal with John van den Brom's men, Vitesse confirmed through their own official website.

However he will be delayed from joining with his team-mates as he is due to help his nation in the upcoming U-20 World Cup which begins on July 29 and will not end until August 20.

Speaking to Ecuadorian television channel Sprint TV, he said: "Vitesse is a big club in the Netherlands, from the information I have received, and I would like to join as soon as possible."

Ibarra has been capped once for the Ecuador national team in a match against Argentina in April of this year.
