West Bromwich Albion keen on PSV's Ola Toivonen - report

The Sweden international was close to a move to the Premier League last year and has again caught the attention of an English side
Ola Toivonen has attracted the interest of Premier League side West Bromwich Albion with his good performances for Dutch giants PSV in the 2010-11 campaign, Aftonbladet reports.

WBA are keen to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window in order to stay clear of a relegation battle next season, and manager Roy Hodgson considers Toivonen to be a useful addition to his attack.

Hodgson attempted to lure the Swede to England when he was in charge of Liverpool last year, but the 24-year-old forward then opted to stay in Eindhoven.

However, Toivonen could now decide that the time is right to move on. The former Malmo attacker has a contract until the summer of 2012 and PSV could decide to cash in on the player if they receive an offer in the region of €8 million.

Toivonen has scored 34 goals in 75 Eredivisie appearances in his two years at the Philips Stadion.
