Benfica & Porto in hunt for Twente's Bryan Ruiz - report

The Costa Rica international has caught the attention of the Portuguese powerhouses with his fine performances in Enschede in the past two seasons

Costa Rica international Bryan Ruiz appears to be on his way out of KNVB Beker winners Twente as both Benfica and Porto have set their sights on the tricky attacker, Correio da Manha reports.

Porto are in the market for a new attacker as they prepare for life after Radamel Falcao and Hulk, who are both being linked with a move to a bigger league; and the Portuguese giants see the 25-year-old Ruiz as the perfect addition to their attack.

Meanwhile, Benfica are keen to add some more creativity to their attack after a relatively disappointing season in which they missed out on the Portuguese league title.

Twente have reportedly set a €10 million asking price for Ruiz. The forward has previously been linked with Spanish clubs Sevilla and Villarreal.

Ruiz started his professional career with Alajuelense and also wore the jersey of Gent before joining Twente in 2009. The versatile attacker has since developed into one of the undisputed stars of the Eredivisie.
