It's been a miserable week for PSV - Fred Rutten

PSV coach Fred Rutten has expressed his disappointment with his side's draw against Heerenveen at the weekend.
Eredivisie giants PSV were offered the chance to leapfrog rivals Twente in the table again following the Tukkers' draw against Roda, but the Eindhoven side failed to beat Heerenveen and had to settle for a 2-2 draw, much to the disappointment of head coach Fred Rutten.

Rutten admitted to the club's official website that it had been a week to forget, after losing 4-1 to Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday night, saying: "We’ve lost two precious points in the title race and were punished for making mistakes that are not acceptable at this level. We were lucky to snatch a late equaliser.

"The team responded well after Thursday’s game. We created a couple of good chances and defended well in the first half. Once we’d taken the lead, we made some sloppy mistakes, though.

"All in all, it’s been a miserable week for PSV."

PSV currently sit second in the Eredivisie table with 62 points from 30 games, trailing table-toppers Twente by two points.
