Highly rated PSV attacker Jonathan Reis has travelled to Brazil to continue his rehabilitation process. The promising attacker underwent a first knee surgery in USA about ten days ago and is scheduled to undergo a second operation in Brazil in about a month's time.
The first operation was conducted by the renowned knee specialists Dr Richard Steadman and Dr La Prade in Vail in the state of Colorado in the presence of PSV's team doctor Tjaarda Weber.
A report on PSV's official website reads that the American doctors have expressed their delight with the work and dedication shown by Reis during his rehabilitation and they're hopeful that the forward will return to his former best after his recovery.
The 21-year-old attacker sustained a knee injury in PSV's 3-1 Eredivisie win over Roda back in December 2010 and is expected to be sidelined until the end of the season.
Reis has scored eight goals in 11 Eredivisie appearances since re-joining PSV at the start of the 2010-11 campaign.
