Egyptian attacker Mido appears to be on his way out of Eredivisie giants Ajax as the powerful forward has told the Amsterdam side that he wants to leave the club this winter. The Godenzonen have confirmed Mido's decision on their official website.
The 27-year-old joined Ajax from Middlesbrough on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, but he has failed to make an impact in the Amsterdam ArenA so far. Therefore, he's keen to move on again.
Mido has made five Eredivisie appearances for Ajax this term, scoring two goals in the process. He also found the net once in the KNVB Beker.
The forward's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2011, but the Amsterdam side are ready to let go of Mido on a free transfer in order to allow him to join another club.
La Liga outfit Deportivo la Coruna are believed to be sitting in pole position to sign Mido, but Espanyol are also believed to be interested in signing the attacker.
