Eredivisie outfit Feyenoord have confirmed on their official website that Russian attacker Fedor Smolov won't return to the club after the winter break as Dinamo Moscow have decided to terminate the forward's loan deal.
The 20-year-old joined Feyenoord on a one-year loan deal in the summer of 2010, but Smolov has been unable to make an impact at the beleaguered Rotterdam giants.
Smolov has so far made 12 league appearances for Feyenoord without finding the net.
The attacker played his last game for the Stadionclub when they were held to a 2-2 draw against Heerenveen on November 14. Smolov returned to Russia shortly after the encounter to undergo treatment on a hamstring injury.
Dinamo opted to recall the young attacker from his loan spell in Rotterdam because they're planning to give him the chance to prove his worth in the new league season, which will start in March 2011.
